Chocolate Almond Fruit Kabobs
Fruit kabobs can be easy to make, healthy and delicious. They are also a great option for the winter months, as you can use frozen fruit.
This recipe allows you to change the fruit. You can use other fruits and/or berries in place of the strawberries, banana, and kiwi.
Dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa): 100 g
Strawberry, banana, and kiwi peeling + slicing
Break the chocolate bar up into smaller pieces. Add them to a small pan.
Stir the chocolate frequently with a wooden spoon over low heat until it is completely melted.
Double boilers can be used to melt chocolate.
Fill the bottom pot up with water, and place the chocolate in a bowl which fits snugly over the pot. (Make sure that the water doesn’t touch the bowl.) Stirring constantly, cook over low heat until the chocolate has melted.
Prep the fruit while the soup is cooking by removing the tops from the strawberries, peeling and slicing kiwi, and slicing a banana.
Alternate the banana, strawberry and kiwi between each bamboo skewer. Sprinkle chopped almonds on top of your kabobs, and drizzle the melted dark chocolate over them.
